I AM Home

 

Hey Y'all Ms. T here and in today's blog post I am going to discuss the concept of home. Frequently when we think of home we think of a building where you eat, sleep and store your personal possessions. Home should be a sacred space where you seek refuge from your day-to-day interactions with your environment. To take this idea one step further, have you ever considered that home is you?? Many of are not privileged  to have a childhood home to go back to when life's challenges occur; often times you will find yourself having to figure our your life issues without the assistance of anyone. This is when you have no choice but to deal with and solve the problem so that you can move forward. Your ability to address your life difficulties by yourself is a representation of you already being home. Why? Because it requires that you go deep within yourself, ask some difficult questions and find your truth. Knowing that you are already home will assist you with managing your life no matter your geographic location, you already possess the skills necessary to overcome your life challenges and discover who you were truly meant to be.
